Buy them at the train station to get to your hotel

In the city centre they are also available in a souvenir shop on Briedelstraat - the road between the Markt and the Burg.

They only cost 1.3 euros this way

Yes. You can read all about the various bus tickets here www.delijn.be/en/vervoerbewijzen/index.htm

One ticket, purchaed on board and valid for one hour is €1. At train station, outdoors at kiosk near bus platforms, a 10 ride ticket is €10. Can be shared...two people would get five rides, etc. Be sure to request a route map as well. All busses go to station as final stop...and say so on marquee. Good spot to get the bus to station is at the library, just off the eirmarkt. Just ask directions.

Sorry, that is not entirely correct. A 10-ride (assuming all rides are within Brugge - covers fewer journeys when these are for 3+ zones) Lijnkaart does indeed cost €10 but IF it only cost €1 to buy a ticket on board the bus, that would offer no advantage (10 x €1 being €10)!

In fact, the price of an individual ticket is (as O.P. already indicated - post is not a question but a statement) €1.30 when purchased in advance, e.g. from De Lijn office or ticket machine, and €2 on board the bus. The 10-trip Lijnkaart, on the other hand, which reduces the cost of an individual trip (not exceeding 2 zones) to €1, can ONLY be bought in advance, and not from the bus driver.

All ticket and fare types are on here: delijn.be/en/vervoerbewijzen/types/index.htm…
