Brugge at Christmas

My husband and I are considering spending 7 days in Brugge from Dec. 24-31. Will most restaurants and sights be open and is the amount of time too long?

Hey,

hotels are open for that period. For the restaurants, it is best to reserve before for Christmas Eve, Christmas day and newyears eve. Christmas is celebrated most with the family, so some restaurants are closed then. New Years Eve is more celebrated outside home, you must be on time to have a place.

Maybe this list can help you:

It's no problem to fill up 7 days in Bruges: they have different musea, nice churches and other medieval buildings, there's a Christmas market,... And you can easilly take the train to the seaside (15 minutes) for a nice walk and eat a Belgium waffle afterwards, or Gand (20 minutes) what is also a charming city to visit. And also Brussels and Antwerp are nearby (1 hour by train)...
