Hi , we've never been to Bruges but are thinking about going for a weekend and Xmas Market in Dec.. Where is the best location to stay please?
Any hotel or other accomodation in the ‘egg’ of Brugge (if you look at the map: the area inside the ring/gates and canal/moat that look like an egg) is centrale located and a good place to stay from where you can visit Brugge on foot. Then it depends on your budget.
Hi. Plenty of choice in the centre and outskirts. Some really nice bed and breakfast accommodation as well as hotels. Been going at Christmas for about six years. We love it gets us in the Christmas spirit.
Hi, I always recommend the ibis budget unless you're after something luxurious.
It's next to the railway and bus stations, it has ample cheap parking (You can also show your parking ticket at the de liyn office and get free bus travel for a day for everyone in your car) and it is a fifteen minute walk into town.
The hotel is no frills but it is clean and the beds are comfortable.
As Spamette says.
The ibis budget next to the train station is great, stayed there a few times. Cheap, everything you need, bed, shower, toilet, wifi, and only about a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Bruges.
And the bonus is the car park is cheap. seriously cheap. €3.50 each 24hr.
What restaurant do you recommend for Christmas Eve? Cozy and good for local food.
