Train - 4 times an hour - 15 to 20 minutes - €5.20

Bus - MIVB/STIB (Brussels public transport) - No 12 - ticket €3 from the ticket machine by the bus stop at the airport or €5 if bought from the bus driver.

Go to Schuman metro (underground) station and then continue by metro to Central Station (same ticket) - 4 stops.

De Lijn is the regional bus company for Flanders. De Lijn buses do not go directly to the centre of Brussels but are useful to reach certain other parts of the city.

Just take the train at the basement of the airport. It takes about 10 minutes and there is one at every quarter of an hour. Brussels Central station should be the 2nd stop after airport.

Is the cost for train from Airport to Centraal Station €5.20 total, or is it €5 plus €2.05 tax = €7.05 ?

Since 1 February 2012 it's €5.40, which includes the Diabolo charge (was €5.20 in September, when the question you tacked yours onto was asked).

The Airport Line bus fare is now €3.50 if purchased in advance, e.g. from the machine at the bus stop, and €6 if purchased from the driver; but as this bus is operated by STIB, the city transport company, it includes transfer to any other STIB bus, tram or metro within 60 minutes of first stamping the ticket in the machine on the bus.

The train to Brugge starts (in Brussels) at Gare du Nord and goes through Central and Midi so you can catch it at any of these. And if starting from the airport (Bruxelles-Nat-Aéroport in timetables), you can also change in Ghent, although trains into Brussels are more frequent.

Since the original question keeps getting resurrected by having unrelated questions tacked onto it, it might be noted that the price for the train from Brussels (any station) to Brussels Airport is now €7.60; Brussels to Brugge is €13.50.
