Where to break big notes?

When I changed Euro in Singapore, they didn't have enough small notes so not knowing better, I accepted a couple of EUR500. BIG MISTAKE!!!!

Now I'm desperately in need of breaking up these notes. Was already refused by quite a number of moneychangers and stores, and seeing that I'm not a customer of any european banks, just wondering if there's anywhere where I can break these notes.

Please help!!

Have you tried just going into a bank and asking? If you explain they might help you. I don't think any store will change €500.

Travelex money changer at Central Station also does some other stuff, like selling gift cards and hotel bookings. IF you give them some other business most likely they'd be willing to break the big euro into smaller ones or even just let you pay with that and give change...

Thanks for the suggestions! In the end I managed to use the note to buy my train ticket, so things are alright now :)
