Statue in Center of City

My husband and I visited Rotterdam in August and walked to the city center. There is a statue seated in a chair at one entrance to the Buers-World Trade Center building. Who is the statue?

Thanks

I guess it's our famous philosopher Desiderius Erasmus. Also the name-giver for the modern Erasmus bridge aka 'the swan'.

Do you mean this statue: arnold-cremer.com/beeldenroute/images/gkh_ma… ?

This is Gijsbrecht Karel van Hogendorp, a Dutch politician who is one of the men that has written the Dutch constitution. See also …wikipedia.org/wiki/Gijsbert_Karel_van_Hogen…

Met groeten,
