Can somebody give more information about Gouda market that's taken place every Thursday morning?
It is a regular market as you can find in many places in the Netherlands.
Starts at 8.30 am and takes until 1 pm. (the saturday market is from 8.30 - 5)
You can find food, clothes and some household things at this market.
It is fun to walk around the market, but the shops in Gouda itself sell the same things.
In season (28 june - 30 august 2012) next to the Waag there is a cheese market from 10 am - 12.30 on Thursday morning. And every last Thursday of June, July, and August the cheese farmers will be wearing traditional clothes as well.

Thank you Nring!
There are also cheese market in Alkmar on Fridays.
Which one would you recommend more? Unfortunately we do not have time to visit both.
both cheese markets are nearly the same so I would choose one of them.
Alkmaar and Gouda are both nice little cities to walk around in, pick the one that suits your itinerary best. (dates, location, etc)
I will be in Utricht area between 20 May till 10 June , so is there any way to see the Kaas Market that runs every Thursday at Gouda ?
Sure, trains between Utrecht and Gouda run eight times per hour and take 19 minutes.
In Gouda, the cheese market is on walking distance from the station.
We will be staying in Domburg and would love to visit Gouda - we love cheese! How long would it take to drive (roughly), or would it be better to take a train? I know it can get crowded on market days in most towns.
take the train better since there the car parking at Gouda are very limited
