overnight in Giethoorn

Rather than a long daytrip from Amsterdam would anyone know if there is a bus company in Amsterdam that does an overnight package deal to Giethoorn.

Giethoorn is a tiny, very tiny village. I doubt very much such packages exist, given that there is not even a hotel in this small, picturesque place.

It's not that difficult to organise yourself. There are enough hotels, see

tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g188606-Giethoorn_Ove…

and at least 2-3 of them are near bus stops of the direct public bus from/to Steenwijk railway station. Which is well reachable from e.g. Amsterdam...

I'd say 2 nights. Biking is best, it's not a smallish area - but luckily all sights can be reached by land too (next to by boat) due to the many small bridges.

All the best,

There are organized bus trips, but they are usually for retired people

As well as Steinwijk other options nearby are Zwartsluis, which I like as it is a real boat lovers spot or Meppel which is a larger town and very pretty in its own right. Both are 10-15km from Giethoorn itself.

As it happens I keep my boat in Zwartsluis so am very familiar with that area.
