Places for Breakfast in Rembrandt Square

My husband and I are staying in the Eden Rembrandt Square Hotel for 3 nights. From reading previous reviews, the breakfast there does not seem to be highly rated.

Can anyone recommend somewhere closeby for breakfast?

Not in Rembrandt Square but nearby my husband and I had a good breakfast at Cafe Esprit. It is located in Spui right by the entrance to Begijnhof. They have a nice area of outdoor seating that we enjoyed but I don’t know what the inside looks like.

At the beginning of Kalverstraat (by Muntplein) there is La Place in V&D department store and also a bakery a few doors down if you want to pick up some pastries for a quick breakfast.

Just got back from this hotel. I'll tell you exactly what the breakfasts were so you can decide what you want to do! When we arrived we were told that breakfast was included, so we ate it - then were charged for it on check out!!! If I had known this we would have gone elsewhere.

It consisted of a croissant a danish pastry and some baguettes, all plonked on the same plate, with butter and jam, one glass of orange juice and tea or coffee. the price for this was 9.50 euros. Eggs, fruit, cereal were all extra. Scarmbled eggs for example were 4 euros. Also the seating was so cramped that you were right on top of the people next to you and it did get v crowded. Sadly I also thought the staff rather rude and offhand and service sloooow.

There were loads of cafes. restaurants and bars near by, you wouldn't have any trouble finding a cheaper, and probably less boring, alternative!!

Be assured though that the Eden Hotel itself is fabulously comfortable and is in a brilliant location. A really great hotel. Have a good trip!!

My advice for Breakfast is Barney's. SOOOOO Good!!! A little far from where you're at, but well worth it, trust me. The address is Haarlemmerstraat 102. Yummy!
