Transfer times for trains to Brussels

Looking on the B-europe website for travel in August, it seems that all trains traveling from Amsterdam to Brussels and stopping in Rotterdam allow for only two minutes between arrival and departure in Rotterdam. Are these times accurate and is making the connection a problem?

Hi there,

1] Yes they're accurate

2] Generally okay as it's planned to be opposite sides of same platform. BUT as the tickets are not tied to an individual train time (unlike Thalys) it's safe practice simply to take one train Amsterdam-Rotterdam CS earlier, generally 20 mins earlier. Allows more buffer against delays...

All the best,

If you are looking at August is there not a cheap option on the Thalys which is direct and an hour quicker than the IC option?

Yeah just take a Thalys direct high speed train. Fluctuating ticket prices though, so the earlier you buy Thalys ticket, the better.

For the intercities (the ones with the change in Rotterdam) the price is fix price and you can buy at the station on the day of departure.
