Trip Adviosor has provided a wealth of information for me except forgot to mention the potential for being unable to charge since we don't have chips on our credit cards; American Express, Diner's Club aka Discover and Visa do not have chips so we have been unable to charge at the majority of places. We just left Amsterdam and are heading to Germany and Prague. I've had to use ATM's and banks with additionial charges to obtain cash. Any suggestions? I do have a pin # but no one is accepting it.. they want a chip on my card. My credit cards are relatively new. We have heard this is a problem across Europe. The train stations won't accept the cards either and we don't have a printer or smart phone so I can't purchase on line at DB Bahn site. Any suggestions for rest of trip so I don't pay so much in service chagres?
