Pretty long street, do you know where? I lived out that way for 3 months and enjoyed it.

I like the Ten Katestraat market. It's easy enough to walk or take the tram into the center. Lots of cafes and neighborhood-y stuff around there.

It isn't out of the city, just the west side. Depending where, it's a 10 -15 min walk to the Jordaan, couple of minutes on the tram.

Google Map the address. You can also see how far it is to the main areas (Dam, Leidseplein, Rembrandtplein) using the directions option. It will give you waling directions and how to use public transit.

The 7 and 17 tram stop is right nearby. Walking will take you 20 mins to the Leidseplein. Hardly even save much time taking the 7 to the same spot.

Folks both Balou and I know live on the Jacob van Lennepkade right near your address. Just north on the Kostverlorenkade is the very nice Cafe Kostverloren.

It's a good location if you want to be close but not in the heart of things.

Enjoy,

chuck

321 is at the far end. Nothing wrong with the area but cool and interesting, hmm...

There's a nice place called Cafe Edel around the corner. The Kinkerstraat and Overtoom are busy areas with some decent Indian and ethnic restaurants. Tram 7 or 17 will take you into town or tram 1 from the Overtoom
