anne frank house

Going to amsterdam in march and want to visit Anne Frank House can anyone tell me how far it is from our hotel The Best Western Blue. and reading other reviews it is wise to get tickets before you go. Also is it easy to get to our hotel from airport.

Thanks

Your hotel is about 30 minutes from the city center by public transit, tram 14. It also stops at the Westerkerk which is less than a minutes walk from AFH. As you have read, avoid the queue by buying your tickets ahead.

I think the train to Amsterdam Sloterdijk and bus would be the quickest. Use http://9292.nl/en for door to door directions.

Hi there,

Two hotels with that name: Blue Square and Blue Tower. However only 2 km apart; closest (Tower) is about 10 km from AFH and furthest (Square) 12 km. Good news however: both are on tram line 14 which brings you directly to AFH, in about 20-25 minutes.

Indeed prebook the tickets.

And from airport: the Square is extremely easy as it's on the only direct GVB line from Schiphol, 69; you could buy a 24+ hour card at airport and start using immediately. Tower requires train to Lelylaan and then switch to light rail. www.9292.nl/en gives all steps.

All the best,
