We will be in Amsterdam for a 9 hour layover on a Sunday in February and will be visiting the Anne Frank House as well as hoping to do a canal cruise.
I've read that the Boathouse canal cruises are very near the AFH and we thought that would be a time saver to take that canal cruise after visiting the AFH.
However, I just read that the Boathouse boats aren't completely glass covered on top. They have glass on the sides and partially on top. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbo=d&biw=1024&bih=644&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=boathouse+canal+cruises+amsterdam&oq=boathouse+canal+cruises+amsterdam&gs_l=img.12...9919.13413.0.145126.96.36.199.0.0.0.130.1448.0j12.12.0...0.0...1ac.1.kdW3qUqTBb8
I saw photos of other canal cruise boats and they are completely glass covered on top. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbo=d&biw=1024&bih=644&tbm=isch&oq=lovers+canal+boats++amsterdam&gs_l=img.12...2668.4824.0.58188.8.131.52.0.0.0.415.1412.1j2j3j0j1.7.0...0.0...1ac.1.uVeMiNu3adk&q=lovers%20canal%20boats%20amsterdam
How much difference would it make to us being able to see everything if we decided to take the Boathouse trip versus walking back to the Dam Square area and taking one of the other boat trips?
