It's early days...
Most likely tour companies like Keytours and Lindbergh will offer day tours from Amsterdam. Public transport means train (1 transfer) plus a bus, altogether about 2.5-3 hours one way, although I expect special shuttle buses coming from Venlo station.
All the best,

wonder maybe a taxi from Venlo is the best for them, to venlo there are many trains.
Thank you very much. We'll look into the tour companies. All your help is appreciated.
This is what is presently posted on the Floriade website.
"Venlo is surrounded by the international airports of Düsseldorf, Maastricht, Eindhoven and Weeze. Visitors coming by train will alight at Venlo station and take a shuttle bus to the Floriade grounds."
Here's the link for the website. They will probably post further details as they become available.
It might be worthwhile staying in Venlo for a night,I went to the last Floriade and it was a huge site to walk around. To see it all and travel both ways might be a bit much.
Thanks. We wnt to the last one which was closer to Amsterdam. We're hoping to find a tour group which will take us from Amsterdam for a 2 day trip. Your help is appreciated.
OK Thanks again
I see our river cruise is now offering a day trip there ...not ideal to see everything but may be worth the trip with them
