GVB 48 hour transport ticket

Does the GVB ticket include the train from the airport to the city center? Does it include metro, S train or/and bus?

no, these passes do not include the train from airport..but this one does..

gvb.nl/english/travellers/tickets-and-fares/…

and both tickets good on bus, tram, and metro within the city center..the only difference between the two is the all-in-one include roundtrip train ticket to/from airport..and of course its a little more expensive because it includes the train portion.

it says it included ticket to airport? If i buy the 72 hour card, could i use it for 2 round trips to the airport. I will need to go to the Keukonoff (spelling) flower show the next day.

Also, is there a bus or metro that goes from Airport to Central train station or close to it?

The All in 1 tickets come in a little 'pouch' that is actually 2 x single train trips (1 x central st - schiphol and 1 x schiphol - central) plus the 24/48/72 hour GVB ticket, so no only one trip each way to and from the airport. Not sure if you can get to Keukonoff by tram or metro so you could use the GVB ticket.

Airport is served by the train to central station, however I do beleieve there is a bus that goes to some other areas of Amsterdam, but not to central station.

The train station is directly under the airport and should you not get the all in 1 pass, which can be bought at the VVV tourist info desk at Schiphol airport (- and has a much lesser queue than the station ticket desks) the train costs are 3.70 euros each way .

Have a good trip.

ok. once more..

you have the 24,48,72, etc passes THESE DO NOT INCLUDE THE TRAIN TICKET

gvb.nl/english/travellers/tickets-and-fares/…

then you have the "all-in-one" 24,48,72,etc passes..WHICH DOES CONTAIN TRAIN TICKET. one for the run into town, one for the return to the airport.

gvb.nl/english/travellers/tickets-and-fares/…

and no, just because you buy the 72 hour card you dont get two round trip train tickets..only 1 set of train tickets PER card purchased.

ive provided you the links to check this out yourself

and you cannot use any of these products to get to keukenhof flower garden

There are two buses (# 370 and 197 ---interliner) from the Airpot to the City center. Would this be covered by the GVB 72 hour pass?

Neither. Both are from Connexxion, not from GVB; GVB does solely Amsterdam and suburbs and Schiphol is generally NOT considered a suburb of Amsterdam. There is a rare exception, e.g. line 192 of Schiphol Sternet which does Schiphol-Sloterdijk and is jointly runned by GVB and Connexxion, but even for this one not sure whether the GVB daycard would be valid all the way to the airport or, to the contrary, only uptil Sloten/Badhoevedorp suburbs...

All the best,

<Erik> & [Sandya]

Okay, GVB _did_ respond to my query. Alas, no loophole: buses 192 and 195 from Airport to Amsterdam-West are a jointventure between GVB and Connexxion and the GVB day passes aren't valid on them at all. So an exception to the rule that GVB passes are valid on all bus lines mentioned on the GVB site...

Just for the curious..

Tnx,
