Surviving the Flight!!!

Hi there,

I can't sleep on flights, no matter what time it is, no matter how long the flight... I cannot sleep.

Can anybody recommend any legal remedies? Travel gurus, your help is needed.

Regards,

Mark

I like to take a small dosage of xanax. Just tell your primary care physician that you get really nervous and anxious on flights and that it has progressively gotten worse. And that you need something to take the edge off.

mark.

meditation helps to relax teh body and ultimately aids sleep. Try some simple meditation techniques. You are in a viscious circle as you probably try and force sleep and at teh sam etime your brain is telling itself that its useless as you never sleep on planes !

Otherwise, just dont sleep teh night before and as you will be exhausted , you will sleep!

Hemikiwi, that's really deep but entirely true.

A think an appointment with the doctor (physician) should do the trick.

Thanks everyone.

My wife always has a large cognac an hour before take-off. Apparently it does the trick.

I suppose flying Royal class with the pretty little individual cabins and the flight attendants who give you a neck rub must help too. Comes at a price of course :-)

Hi

Are you flying from UK to Schiphol? If so, the flight is less than an hour. You literally take off, have a sandwich and have your tea poured out before the plane starts losing altitude.

I hope so, because, Mark, if your problem is you can't sleep on the flight from Heathrow to Schiphol, neither can I...
