Coffeeshops and wietpas

Are there any reputable coffeeshops in the center of Venlo and what about a wietpas for Germans? We have been told that no wietpas is requested but we aren´t sure.

Any information will be appreciated.

1. Re: Coffeeshops and wietpas

in the Dutch state of Limburg it is not possible to buy weed or hash (legally) without a Wietpas.

Sorry.

Thanks ddavis, that´s what we have always been told, but now there are some articles that Germans don´t need a wietpas (sorry, just in German language)

keinwietpas.de/2016/…

keinwietpas.de/wo-gilt-der-wietpas-wo-nicht/

Beside that, I just found 3 coffeeshops, all with mediocre reviews, concerning quality and service.

Friends of mine are planning a daytrip to Venlo and would like to visit any good coffeeshop, just to give it a try.

I think the article and the map you posted speak for themselves. While the state of Limburg requires the Wietpas, it appears Venlo is allowing access without it. I think the article explains why (I have to laugh about the part where the quality of the weed has fallen off). If nothing else I think folks can go to Venlo, seek out a coffeeshop, and try it. The most they can be told is "no".

As you can well imagine I don't know any of these places but it looks like there is a nice selection:

Thanks again, ddavis.

But maybe there is somebody with any personal experiences. I can´t post this question on the german forum (where are perhaps people who have been there), it would be reported at once, as illegal ...

My friends are back and finally found a coffeeshop close to the center. They told me that the service was ok and prices and quality too. And they didn´t need a wietpas.

But there are controls in the trains and busses frequently, so Germans should consider very well if they bring something back home and if yes, just a very small amount. It´s still illegal.

Yes, It´s "Klein maar Fijn" ,Noord Buitensingel 3

coffeeshopkleinmaarfijn.nl

There are some more coffeeshops behind the station, "Nobody´s Place" and "Huzur 33", but at least at Nobody´s you have to become member first, for 5 Euro...I was told so.
