Amsterdam-Apeldorn-Kroller-Mueller museum?

Hi there, My daughter and I want to visit the park and museum in a couple of weeks, and we hoped maybe Apeldorn experts could help us make our plans. We thought getting to the museum by using the park's white bikes would be fun [if it's not pouring. . . ]. Do you recommend the Apeldorn station rather than the Ede station as our destination from Amsterdam? (Which journey is shorter/more appealing?) Which gate into the park gives the most interesting bike ride to the museum? And is it going to be hard to get a bike if we're there first thing? And finally, is "first thing" when the park opens at 8 am, or when the visitor centre opens (1 1/2 hours later)?--we'd like to have a bit of extra time to cycle around, but we're only in the Netherlands for what is already seeming like a very very short week. . .

thanks very much for any help!

Hiya,

From Amsterdam you have a direct train connection with the Ede Wageningen train station. From there you take bus connection 108 to Otterlo. In Otterlo you change busses and hop on bus 106 in the direction of Hoenderloo. That bus stops in the park.

If you have to go to Apeldoorn first, you would need to change trains in Amersfoort, before having to change busses as well.

Neither one of the train rides is more or less appealing than the other.

Thanks for your advice. I hope that the buses run pretty often, so we don't spend too much time sitting around waiting. . . :)

then click on Geef Reisadvies

And then select Route to see the specific travel itinerary.
