Am spending a week in Holland at the end of April, would love to venture into Germany by train preferably, anyone any suggestions? Low cost ideally.

Hi there,

Well have a look at www.nshispeed.nl or www.bahn.de. Ruhr area (Oberhausen, Dusseldorf, Duisburg, Cologne) has best connections. Next to this there are trains towards Bad Bentheim-Osnabrueck, Gronau-Muenster and Aachen directions...

All the best,

you need to book now, or at least a good bit in advance, to get cheap tickets.

Germany is a large country so it depends on where you want to go. Major cities like Cologne, Berlin, Munich and Hamburg are all interesting and the scenery in Bavaria and the south is very nice.
