Zurich card

We are staying in Hotel Limmathof for 2 nights. Do we get a free transport card like the one they give in Geneva? If not, will the 24 hr. card bought on Day 2 be good enough for our itinerary and travel to the airport.

Day 1 - Arrive at hotel around 4pm. Walk around a little until sunset.

Day 2 - Visit Rhine falls, back to hotel around 2pm. Local sightseeing.

Day 3 - Leave for airport in the morning at 6am.

We are flying Swiss air and hope to check-in at Zurich station the day before. Is the counter working? Wrote to Swiss air but no reply. Do we have to check in 3 hrs. before for international flights? Do we have to re-confirm hotel reservations made atleast a month in advance? We wrote to the hotel too, confirming the dates, but no reply from them either.

Thanks

I believe the day pass (24 hrs). is cheaper (chf 8.40) than the zurich card. Since we wont be visiting any museums, is this a better idea if we plan to do all this

- walk along Bahnhofstrasse

- Boat ride on the river or to Rapperswil

- trams to FIFA HQ, Uetliberg

- Rhine falls.

Can we buy it in advance and validate it at the time of travel? I hope the day pass means 24 hrs. and not 1 day as in midnight. The pass is valid only till Schloss Laufen. We read that if we take any of the boat rides at the falls, they drop us off at the Schaffhausen side? How do we get back to SL station from there or should we avoid the boat ride altogether?

That price is for only 4 zones. Zurich counts as two zones. An all zones day pass costs 33.20 CHF. An all zones 9 o'clock day pass costs 25 CHF.

Not really a Zurich card question.

Check-in at railway stations is done by railway companies. So Zurich airport website refers to www.sbb.ch for additional information. Details at sbb.ch/en/…check-in-at-the-railstation.html and links there.

Close to all flights out of Zurich airport are international. Time required to be at Zurich airport for a flight depends on country, airline and gates used. No immigration control for flights from and to Schengen-countries for instance. More at zurich-airport.com/desktopdefault.aspx/…
