Hi, what would you like to see and do in Switzerland? It is really difficult to recommend an itinerary without some guidelines as to these things. If you aren't sure, do a bit of studying on the internet and on the website of the Swiss Tourism office
When you have more information for us, please post again!
For Switzerland, it's mainly sight seeing and snowplay (we have not experienced snow before).. But we don't wanna stay too long (2 weeks) in Switzerland, that's why we wanna explore Paris (Disneyland included) and if there's time, Milan.
Will it be better to take plane or train to Paris from Zurich?
Okay, for snow you will need to go to one of the high peaks around Zermatt or in the Berner Oberland as it is too early for snow below about 2000 meters.
It's still very hard to give you an itinerary because there is so much to see and do in Swtzerland that you can fill a month easily! You need to do some reading and researching. Most people like to visit the mountains of the southern Alps along the border with Italy and in the Berner Oberland - this is around the Interlaken area, go to Lucerne, Montreux, etc.
Please study the website above as well as read some here on the forum. There is so much available to read about Switzerland so you can easily get ideas about what areas you might like and what particular sights.
Hope this helps and we look forward to hearing more!
I will be in Zurich for 4 days, should I buy a Swiss pass to visit Zermmat, Lausanne and take the glacier express. What is my choice, flexi or saver ( I'm traveling with my wife)
Hi Roland, you are hijacking a different thread discussing itinerary.
Anyway, your answer can be found on the right hand side of the Swiss Forum page.
I will be going to ZURICH with my siblings (total 4 pax) in MAY 2014 which is our first visit to Zurich. We wish to visit 1 of the mountains and other attractions. Any recommendations, please. (4-5 days).
