Most of the schools have very good instructors. It's worth asking the school about the qualifications their instructors have. Some schools employ unqualified instructors!

Some schools have pages with info on their instructors. Maybe you see one you like the look of. A good school makes an effort to match instructors to clients. Maybe chat with each and see the feeling you get.

Hope that helps.

It's really about the instructor, not the school, for a private lesson. Bear in mind that in most resorts the Swiss Ski School is normally cheaper (by >10%) for private lessons than some of the other British or internationally focussed schools (such as ES). But english language is never a problem with any school.

If you contact the ski school, they know how to match for the right chemistry. The instructors don't want to be with the "wrong profile" of cllient any more than the clients.

There are good reports from all of the ski schools. My only experience is with Summit. All their instructors are English speaking. You can get details of their instructors from their website. As Paul suggests above, call them and have a chat first.
