Bus from Tasch to visp

The train from tasch to visp will be under construction during 23.10.17 to 19.11.17. The bus will be provided instead of train. I have plan to Zermatt on this duration.

1. How long it will take from tasch to visp by bus?

2. Any reservation is needed for bus?

3. Is there any extra charge if I already have swiss pass?

Thanks in advance.

1. www.sbb.ch/en will tell you. Just look up Täsh to Visp (or wherever you are really headed) for your travel day.

2. no

3. no

When a train is replaced by a bus, for whatever reason, the same conditions apply to the bus as would have applied to the train.

Use your usual tickets or passes.

There is a bus non stop between Visp and Tasch, which is quicker than the trains it temporarily is replacing.

A slower bus calls at intermediate stations on the line.

Catch any shuttle train (as often as 10 - 20 minute intervals) from Tasch to Zermatt and return.

When you arrive at Täsch SBB staff will direct you to the bus. They will make sure you are on the right, and the quickest bus to Visp. Have confidence in them - they know what they are doing!

I did this exact journey less than 3 weeks ago, and it was very simple. Once you get off the train at Täsch you should make your way off the platform and there will be a bus waiting. The replacement bus will then take you

directly to Visp and will not stop at any of the other intermediate stations (Randa, Herbriggen, St. Nicklaus and Stalden Saas). Because of this you should arrive at the same time as (or before) the train was due to arrive had it been running.
