Graveyards in Lugano

Several years ago I visited your unique city. We thought it was extraordinary. Our group came upon a graveyard which was very unusual. It had headstones in the form of 'THE LAST SUPPER.' It appeared the headstones represented a family buried there. If you could explain this to me, I would be deeply grateful. I hope to visit your city again. Thank you so very much!
