Glacier Express: Which way is better?

In terms of scenery and enjoyment of the ride, is the Glacier Express better from St Moritz to Zermatt, or from Zermatt to St Moritz? Thank you very much.

It does not matter in which direction, the train travels on the same tracks both ways so you have the same views. Decide upon the rest of your plan which fit better.

I think we prefer travel from St Moritz, towards Zermatt, but as said, whichever direction suits your plans will be excellent.

Thank you, Engadiner, for your reply.

By the way, I have been reading your various replies on Engadin, and found them useful. The links you have provided in your replies are crucial as I could not find them when I googled "Engadin" or "St Mortiz"! Really appreciate you taking time to share with many of us on the forum seeking for specific help and information!

Cheers.

Thank you very much, Haddaway. Your reply is assuring, as we have no option now but to go from St Mortiz to Zermatt, as there is no seat for us the other way round!

Cheers.

Thank you JeannineFT, I am aware that some information is hidden sometimes, so I try to help. In case you checked older treads, ans since recently there are now new websites for the tourism organization, thus:

For St. Moritz specific: https://www.stmoritz.com/en/

For the whole of the Upper Engadin: https://www.engadin.ch/en/

Mind that www.engadin.com is for the Lower Engadin.

The Bernina specific site remains the same: https://www.bernina-glaciers.ch/en/

The previous site for www.engadin.stmoritz.ch remains online for some more time until everybody has the new address.

Enjoy your planning and your holidays and come back if you have more questions.
