It does not matter in which direction, the train travels on the same tracks both ways so you have the same views. Decide upon the rest of your plan which fit better.
Thank you, Engadiner, for your reply.
By the way, I have been reading your various replies on Engadin, and found them useful. The links you have provided in your replies are crucial as I could not find them when I googled "Engadin" or "St Mortiz"! Really appreciate you taking time to share with many of us on the forum seeking for specific help and information!
Thank you JeannineFT, I am aware that some information is hidden sometimes, so I try to help. In case you checked older treads, ans since recently there are now new websites for the tourism organization, thus:
For the whole of the Upper Engadin: https://www.engadin.ch/en/
Mind that www.engadin.com is for the Lower Engadin.
The Bernina specific site remains the same: https://www.bernina-glaciers.ch/en/
The previous site for www.engadin.stmoritz.ch remains online for some more time until everybody has the new address.
Enjoy your planning and your holidays and come back if you have more questions.
Wow! So wonderful to have your generous help, pointing me to the useful links! Many many thanks, indeed, Engadiner!
You are welcome. I always want people to enjoy my wonderful home area.
