Shopping at St Moritz

Dear all.

I would be staying at Sils maria for 4 nights for the last part of my trip. Hoping to do some last min shopping at St moritz, however not keen in designer wear. Any department shops or a gd toy store to recommmend? Definitely will be visiting Laderach for chocolates though!

Appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Depends what you're shopping for, but the centre of St Moritz is not large, so you could feasibly walk round all of its shops in an hour or two. There are no department stores, all small shops. Some purchases might be better deferred until you get to the airport, but again, it depends what you want.

It would be important to know what you are looking for. There are not just designer stores, but there are many of them in the main street. If you are looking for souvenirs, there are several places. As for toys, the coop supermarket has a good choice. If you are looking for local producs as e.g. wood items or embroderies, there are some specialized shops in St. Moritz, the same for local speciality food. Läderach is not a local production. If you want speciality chocolate, there is the shop at the Hotel and Restaurant Hauser. They also sell the chocolates from Gianotti in Pontresina.
