Bernina Express Trip v.s. Jungfraujoch

I am traveling in early Sept. Since the Bernina Express covers the same narrow-gauge route as the Glacier Express from Chur to St. Moritz and it is the highest rail crossing of the Alps, is the Bernina Express more scenic than the Jungfrau Region?

The route shared by Glacier Express and Bernina Express is actually NOT the highest crossing of the Alps. The train goes over (or rather, under) the Albula pass in a tunnel to St. Moritz in the Upper Engadine. This would be the end of the Glacier Express, while the Bernina Express bypasses St. Moritz and goes over the next pass, the Bernina Pass, which is in fact the highest railway crossing of the Alps.

In any case, you don't need the Express trains, unless you have too many luggage. Besides the "Express" trains which are slightly more comfortable but often crowded with coach tour groups, there are frequent local trains on both the Bernina and the Glacier Express routes. They usually don't run the whole length of the route, but you have to change trains a few times in between; still, the schedules are usually put together so that the next train is already waiting when yours pulls into the station.

The Bernina Express has the most diverse scenery from harsh alpine to soft mediterranean.

The line to the Jungfrraujoch is a mountain journey with its terminusat a viewing point above 11,000ft.

The Bernina Express is a working international railway carrying people and freight , its a triumph of engineering feat set in some of the best scenery Switzerland has to offer.
