Jungfrau / Eiger best time to go?

We would like to visit Junfrau with the main aim of taking the train that goes up inside the Eiger.

I know you cant guarentee the weather at anytime of year, but is there a time of year that is generally better for visibility to see the views etc ?

Thanks

Typically the weather the first two weeks of September is the best in the Jungfrau region. We have been 16 times in 17 years and only once did we have some rainy days during this time. Several years we have had 2 weeks with no rain at all or perhaps a very late afternoon shower that was over in a couple of hours. During this time you also have the benefit that the winter ski crowds are not there and most of the summer tourist traffic has gone home.

Regardless of when you go, the weather is usually the clearest in the mornings. Clouds often come in during the afternoon.
