Highway tolls

Driving to bellagio from Interkaken. Will I encounter any tolls on the road on this journey? Trying to figure how much Swiss francs to keep before I leave the country.

1. Re: Highway tolls

If you go on motorways, you will have to buy a windscreen sticker which costs 40 CHF (if it's a Swiss rental car it should already have one). Otherwise no tolls in Switzerland, and of course you can avoid paying anything at all by avoiding motorways.

Hi, you can see all the tolls if you put your departure and destination on

www.viamichelin.com

It will include the 40 SF vignette neuch mentions above and the rest will be Italian highway tolls.

I already have the vignette. I was confused when my tomtom kept saying toll road, yet there were none as I drove from Geneva to Lauterbrunnen. Just want to make sure I dont run into anything unexpected.

Yes, the tomtom will warn you about Swiss motorways being toll roads.... but you're OK, if you have a vignette you have paid the toll :-.)
