Travelling to Interlaken/Bonigen

Hi,

We're thinking of booking a particular hotel in Bonigen (the Seehotel) and making our own travel arrangements to get there, flying from Bristol.

Can anyone offer advice on whether it would be better or cheaper, to fly to Geneva or Zurich and how long the different train journeys take and best booking methods?

Also thinking of going up th Jungfraujoch..any tips on the best way to book that too?

All advice gratefully received!

Thanks.

The trip to Interlaken from Geneva or Zurich takes pretty much the same amount of time so I would go with whichever city you can get the cheapest air fare to.

Don't book your tickets to the Jungfrau until you arrive and are ready to go. It's a really expensive trip and to go up on a less than clear day is a total waste. When you wake up on the day you want to go just check the TV weather information and hop on the train if its clear. You can buy the tickets at any station in the area.

You can stay at Seiler au Lac in Bonigen or Chalet du Lac in Iseltwald as they both very lovely hotels right on the lake.
