Paris to Lucerne

Hey Folks,

What is the train ride like/scheduling/etc from Paris to Lucerne?

We are travelling with our 2 yo son, so we really want to limit the "travel" time as much as possible, at 2, he is only manageable for so long!

You can goto www.sbb.ch to decide on your route and train.

TGV is pretty smooth running.

You can leave Paris Est by TGV in the morning at 0824 am reaching Basel Sbb at 11.58 am. Take the connecting train from Basel Sbb to Lucerne and the train ride is 1 hr. 10 minutes. Train Reservation in TGV is necessary. However, Basel to Lucerne trains are very frequent and reservations are not required. Since you have a 2 Year old kid, try to select the straight connection. Cheers. ASD
