Train to bern from Zurich or geneva?

We are considering visiting bern next year and its easier for us to fly to either Zurich or geneva and then get a train? Which is the best route? Zurich looks closer but don't mind being on the train a bit longer if it means the scenery is better. What are the prices like from each and are there direct trains from each airport? Thanks.

Fares pretty much identical. 30 mins longer from Geneva airport vs Zurich. No changes either way. I'd chose by flight time and price. Marginally nicer scenery from Geneva

sbb.ch gives you the train details you need.

From either airport, there are speedy routes and there are scenic routes, if you don't mind the time and changes.

From Zurich go through Luzern, Meiringen,Interlaken, Thun and then Bern.

From Geneva, go through Montreux, Gstaad, Spiez, Thun to Bern.

These are mainly Golden Pass routes. Look up schedule and fare on www.sbb.ch.

I have been very happy with the route and the scenery from Geneva airport to Bern via Lausanne. Takes about 90 minutes.
