5 active days in Tuscany

Hi,

We are planning to spend 5 days in Florence/Siena region during Easter March 28 - April 1. The plan so far is -

day 1 - Take train to Florence, siteseeing

day 2 - full day bike tour to Chianti region

day 3 - siteseeing in Florence, take train to Siena

day 4 - undecided

day 5 - siteseeing in Siena and train back to Zurich.

We are looking for some suggestions for things to do on day 4 from Siena - cycling or walking day tour or siteseeing by bus. We prefer not to drive unless there are not-to-miss sites we cannot do without car. We have already been to Florence once, and cinque terre etc, so do not want to spend time in that region.

thanks,

You can easily spend a few days sightseeing in Siena without going anywhere else. Perhaps just spend day 4 in Siena since you're not leaving too much other time for exploring there.

Hiking,

Suggest you use the bus between Florence and Siena.

While in Siena consider allegati.comune.siena.it:8080/Allegati/1434/…

Thanks for suggestion. The trek through Siena looks good. We are also considering option to do one-day self-guided bike tour in that region. Any suggestions on that?

thanks,
