Easter in Pisa...does the city shut down?

Am about to book a few days in Pisa over Easter and obviously I would want to climb the tower, so does anyone know if it will be open? Also, will general things like shops/restaurants etc, etc be open over the easter weekend?

Thanks

shops in the main road (corso italia) will be closed; not bars and restaurants (to be reserved in advance for the easter lunch and the day after)...maybe some museum will be closed, but not the cathedral and churches...

if you need more help, don't exitate in contacting me!!

cheers

The Leaning Tower will be open; it's open seven days a week, and closes only for Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Museums in most of Italy keep their normal hours over Easter, which usually means they're open on Sunday and closed on Monday. Some museums have a special opening on Easter Monday, because a lot of Italians are visiting the "art cities" of their country over Easter.

Easter Monday is a holiday, and many shops will be closed.
