Restaurant at Easter

Can anyone recommend a restaurant for Easter Sunday lunch that is atmospheric and child friendly. I have two nice but young children and appreciate how liked children are, as this our secodn trip, but we dont want anywhere we will be bothering people. Thanks.

Also, will there be a lively atmosphere in lucca on the sunday and monday easter weekend?

Francesco - great Easter Family atmosphere. But be SURE to have a reservation.

You can choose a restaurant from the references tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g187898-Lucca_Pr… , everyone organize Easter lunch, but, as Savannah said, you must make a reservation in advance.

Easter is celebrate in the churches, there aren't particular events, instead you could find some original shows during the Holy week, the week before Easter (in particular on Thursday and Friday); you can read here: …luccaonline.it/en/…easter-lucca-tuscany.html

On monday usually tradition is to have a picnic in the countryside or to go for a trip out-of-town, so in Lucca there are almost only tourists!

If you're willing to spring for a 10-min (or so) taxi ride (and get the taxi driver's card to phone for the return trip), VILLA BONGI is a stunning place for Sunday Lunch. I've been there at Easter Sunday and there were 2.7 kids for every adult!

It's a typical, long/convivial Sunday celebration of family and food - many courses, wines...much laughter. Kids occasionally cruising around/under tables. Villa Bongi's Marco and Leslie have kids and are very tolerant - as seem to be other guests. It's a serious food place - best in the world - but very family friendly and totally memorable. The view alone is worth the taxi trip and then you add in food (and atmosphere) that is just over-the-top wonderful. www.villabongi.it - DO make a reservation. (Probably a little more expensive than Francesco, though not much, and an Easter you'll always cherish.)
