Train to Florence

From Livorno, does the train go through/stop in Pisa? I ask because we are departing the cruise ship in Livorno and heading to Florence for 4 nights. If the train goes to Pisa anyway, we could store our luggage, see Pisa for 3-4 hours, then continue the train to Florence.

Ideas? Suggestions?

If you want to climb the Leaning Tower, be sure to book your tickets online at least 16 days in advance to guarantee a time slot. Buying tickets on the day of arrival at the box office means possible sell-outs or hours of waiting.

Thank you both - climbing the tower is pretty pricey. Recommend? Or just admire the outside?
