Pisa-San Gimignano

Having a week June 9 Pisa/ Florence area moving on to a wedding Saturday 15th to San Gimignano,Train/Bus travel any help on times would be helpful.

Where exactly are you wanting to travel from? The title says Pisa, but then you say Pisa/Florence area.

Hi Peggy.have booked for 6 days in Pisa just would like to take in a little scenery around there before heading south for the wedding! On the 20th travel back to Uk 21st.(Not my Wedding! Solo 75 ) lol

Ok well assuming the wedding is actually in San Gimignano then you can get a train from Pisa Centrale to Poggibonsi (with a change at Empoli) in about an hour and 20 mins, costing 7.80 euros (don't forget to validate your ticket in the little time stamping machines on the platform before you get on). See the trenitalia website for times.

You will then need to catch a bus from outside Poggibonsi station up to San Gimignano. That takes about 20-25 mins and costs just under 3 euros. See timetables here:
