Tuscany visit from Florence

Thinking on staying a couple of days in Florence in May. Not wanting to drive, Are there tours to the Tuscany Valley for sight seeing, wine tasting or other sights? Which one would be recommended and a comfortable place to stay in central location to the sights in Florence as a hub.

I assume you mean the Val d'Orcia. It's about 2 hours from Florence to the Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, area, and with only a couple of days in Florence, you're not going to have a lot of time to even enjoy the city if going on a day trip south. Perhaps you could take a shorter trip into Chianti and see Greve, Castellina, etc, and there are many, many, wineries there also.

You might check with Nathalie at natintuscany@hotmail.com She gets good reviews for her trips to Tuscany and wineries.

Take a look at Il Villino, a great place just north of the Centro Storico. The owners are wonderful and and it's a great place to stay. They could be full though as they fill up quickly. http://www.residenzailvillino.com/

Another vote for Residenza IL Villino and tours with Nathalie or hiring Alessandro Cammilli for excursions
