Because so many people ask questions about this, I have asked admin to make the subject a 'Sticky'
Thank you, but what is a sticky? I've only been a member for a few months.
A sticky is a topic which stays at the top of the list (shown by the pin). Hope the information in the article is useful, Barb.
I am trying to book tickets for the Uffize & Accademia on the official website as all the other ticket agencies inflate the ticket prices by a large amount. I am having a real problem getting the website to work! Is this normal for this website do you know?
Certainly not unknown. Everyone agrees that phoning is the best option. There are English speakers available and more slots than on the website. Phone number in the article above.
You jump the queues with the Firenze Card and with the Amici degli Uffizi Card. One of the big plus points for me with Accademia & Uffizi, which are always very busy.
Thanks for this, we'll go ahead and buy the Firenze cards in that case. Even if we don't visit 50 Euros worth of places it will be worth it to avoid the queues.
Whatever you do, don't use www.florence-tickets.com if you want to book tickets for several places as it is a fraudlent site, will take your money and not issue tickets. It was at the top of my browser when I searched. Best to use the official sites for each museum.
I am trying to book tickets on the official museum website and I am being charged €20 on top of the 4 euro booking charge. This means I am paying €75 for 5 tickets i.e. €15 per ticket where the base price is €6.50? Will I also be charged th €20 if I book the tickets by phone?
