One day in Florence

Passing through Florence in one day. Can you provide any suggestions on the "Must See" list? Was hoping to pick up a walking tour.

Thanks,

There are several 'MUSTS" in Florence.....you MUST see "David" at the Art Institute. ....You MUST climb to the top of the Dumo ...and see the spectacular view.....you MUST have lunch at ZaZa's.....you MUST shop at the leather mkt .........You MUST see the Utfzi (sp....and I suggest the walking tour)

SO much more..and so little time...but that will consume most of one day!!!

If your must sees include museums, and if those museums are the Uffizi and the Accademia (where the David is), then you definitely MUST have a reservation (you can phone in advance - see under firenzemusei.it). Otherwise, most of your day will be spent waiting in queues.

Apart from that, look in this forum - lots of past thread about one day in Florence itineraries.

Enjoy!
