Bus from Urbino to Cortona for thursday 7th October

Hello everybody!

We'd like to leave Urbino for Cortona, thursday morning, by bus.

We've heard that there is no direct bus from Urbino to Cortona, and it is necessary to change at Arezzo

Moreover, someone told us there are no busses from Urbino to Arezzo on thursday.

Is it any alternative for us to get to Cortona on that precise day, (as we have already booked a hotel room in Cortona)?

Thank you in advance

The link on the Virtual Tourist site is to a schedule that says service runs every work day, which in Italy generally means Monday through Saturday. You said on that site that the link didn't work, but it worked for me. Here it is again:

However, I don't agree that the bus trip from Urbino to Arezzo is preferable to the train trip from Pesaro to Cortona/Camuccia. The train trip would involve several changes, but it takes less time overall. The bus trip also involves changes.

Here is the appropriate bus schedule from Urbino to Pesaro:

If you catch the 9 AM bus from Urbino, you can make a connection in Pesaro at either 10:20 or 10:38, both of which would have you in Camuccia at 14:24. Camuccia is the train station for Cortona, and is much closer to Cortona than Arezzo is.

You can see the train schedules from Pesaro to Cortona here:

You can enter Cortona as your destination, but the station is Camuccia.
