The ferry port is in the city center along the seafront, via Francesco Crispi 153. If it's very early, (before 7.30 am) it shouldn't be difficult to find a parking space.

the ferry is at 1930 and we have to be there two hours ahead (530pm) we are staying in Cefalu and probably have to checkout by 11 and would be there about noon...what are your thoughts...stay in Cefalu longer or park in Palermo and tour for 4-5 hours?

Prego JohnBiscotti,

Really a matter of personal preference....

How much time would you have spent in Cefalù? Cefalù is compact and can easily be seen in a day.

Would you have taken a day trip to Palermo from Cefalù?

Do you enjoy large cities?

Palermo is a treasure trove with lots to see and do, but you would arrive midday during the midday closings. It's best to arrive early for the morning markets any day but Sunday.

There's left luggage storage at the port and train station.
