well we are looking for a little help on booking accommodation in Catania and Palermo!
13th/14th June in Catania
15th/18th June in Palermo
19th June back to Catania for flight home 20th June.
We aren't looking for deluxe hotels more homely B&B without being too basic! I have been looking online for weeks and can't make a decision so any advice would be greatfully appreciated
It’s never efficient to split a destination, so consider seeing Palermo on arrival and ending in Catania, depending on your flights.
Will you arrive and depart from Catania?
Will you hire a car?
You would have many wonderful B&B options in Catania and Palermo.
Butera 28 Apartments:
B&B San Francesco: Good budget choice!
And though a hotel, Ambasciatori has a great location in the historic centre and a wonderful roof terrace – All at reasonable prices.
Hotel Etnea 316 is located on Catania’s via Etnea, the boutique shopping street – A good value!
Da Gianni e Lucia has a central location – full of character, convenient, friendly staff, and good choice.
Hotel Del Duomo also has a stunning location – very convenient and it’s a well rated hotel. Very traditional, lovely – if you want tradition and a convenient location, and you want to stay in the heart of busy Catania, this hotel would be a good choice.
And if you were to hire a car, it would be best to stay outside the city – Castello D’Urso Somma B&B would be a great choice.
Castello D’Urso Somma B&B:
Once again you have helped with the holiday!
The flights are booked for Catania so we will spilt the holiday as we said, but thanks to your information we have booked (fingers crossed on one!) some great places to stay.....
a million thanks for helping me
(can't promise it won't be the last time!!)
Glad to have helped SouthCoastChris – My pleasure!
Where did you decide to stay? Fingers crossed on one??
Hope to hear from you on your return as well, and hope you will consider writing some hotel reviews.
We are booked in to the Da Gianni e Lucia Ib Catania and in Palermo an apartment at Butera 28 (I had my fingers crossed for confirmation on that one but have it now!)
My travel friend is so very happy to have a kitchen to use in Palermo, he wants to be able to cook with all the wonderful produce around!
Many thanks again :o)
Very nice SouthCoastChris!
You’ll love shopping the markets.
