End of September warm enough for swimming and snorkeling?

I am thinking of going to the Olbia area SanPantaleo as there is a nice hotel but would like to know if it will be warm enough to swim as it is really a beach destination although I believe there are some interesting towns/villages to visit, I went to Baia Sardinia about 10-15 years ago and thought it was beautiful and unspoilt, thought porto cervo not really sardinia and now would like to see authentic parts without too much hair-raising driving. is that possible?

Thank you

Usually September is warm enough to swim. It hasn't been a particularly hot summer so far so we are just hoping that it will just be delayed this year.
