Free Parking at Piazza Matteotti

Good morning

We are staying at the Blu Suite in Cagliari and have been told that we can park our car at Piazza Matteotti. Can anyone tell us if it's free parking. If not, suggest anywhere else within walking distance of the apartment?

Thanks.

I'd have said it was next to rather than IN Piazza Matteotti, and would guess that the place you are being told about is the station car-park, called Metropark: and it isn't free but costs €1 an hour. See www.metropark.it/cms/v/index.jsp…

If you zoom out somewhat on that map, there is plenty of parking alongside Via Roma on the port side (Calata Azzuri and Calata Via Roma) though I don't know whether there are parking meters there.

Thanks for the info. I think we may hand the car back and just use local transport/walk
