Wineries with Accommodations

We are planning a brief visit to Sardinia in May, flying into and out of Cagliari. I'm wondering if there are wineries with pleasant accommodations on the western side of the island, preferably within a few hours drive of Cagliari.

Also wondering about any pleasant place to stay our last night. We leave from Cagliari around 2:30 pm on a Sunday, and need to be able to arrive at the airport by noon. We'll have a car.

Not quite a winery, but would fulfil your criterion of being handy for the airport: go-sardinia.com/agriturismo-soleminis-caglia…

Otherwise, this isn't on the Western side but would also be within an easy drive of Cagliari: agriturismo.it/en/…index.html

This one is very definitely on the expensive side, but the accommodation is stunning and I often send guests at our villas for wine and cheese tasting there and they all love it

The first link is to the vineyard, the second is to the hotel run by them

Thanks for the good suggestions. Decided to stay in Pula on last night, but hope to at least visit the gorgeous Feudi della Medusa winery. Also booked an agriturismo near Bosa for 2 nights before that which produces wine among other things.

Are there wineries that are nice to visit in the area between Alghero and Cagliari?

Any good restaurant suggestions would be appreciated as well - Cagliari, Pula, Bosa, and parts in between!

Hi there,

If you're staying the night in Pula, you just have to got to Sa Furriadroxu, just off the main square. It's set in a beautiful, charming courtyard, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the food divine. It's traditional Sardinian fare done beautifully and I'd recommend the mutton, wild boar in red wine, roast suckling pig and a mixture of their wonderful starters.

A personal favorite of mine, enjoy!

We had a great holiday in Sardina nearly 2 years ago. If you read our reviews might get some tips. Not mentioned a great seafood lunch at the coop Sa Pischera on the road from Cabras to Tharros. All the patrons eat the same dayly dishes, very abundant spending about 30 euros each.

Few km north Is Arutas beach is unique in the world because covered of quarz stones (obviously it is a protected area). Driving south fro Bosa, don't miss to sto at Tinnura and take photos to the murals, the best in Italy of its kind together with the Dozza's one.
