Hello. We have a 3 1/2 day visit to Sardinia later this month flying in/out of Cagliari. Key question for us is how many days to spend in Cagliari. To baseline our travel style, we often go to San Sebastian in Spain and find we can easily spend 3 days wandering amoung the shops, the beach and the tapas bars. There's no need for us to go farther afield. Alternatively, at some smaller Italian cities such as Bologna, Lecce or Umbria we felt 1 day to 1 1/2 days was enough. In Cagliari, are the more charming sections of town (Marina, Stampache & Castello?) large enough to keep up a newcomer's interest - - with an admittedly low interest in indoor museums and churches due to our 2 young kids - - for 2 or 3 days? Or will we go stir crazy? How easy is it to get to del Poetto without a car?
Are there parks near the centre of the city with playgrounds?
Finally, how convenient is the T Hotel to the Marina, Stampache & Castello?
