I am flying to Treviso airport on the 2nd February 2006 with Ryanair, I was wondering if anybody could tell me how far it is to the centre of Venice and what methods of transport would be best value? How much would a taxi cost?

Don't taxi the whole way !

The Ryanair shuttle, as already said, is the easiest - they are timed to coincide with flights. Cheaper is to get a bus from just in front of the airport (the airport is tiny so we are talking a distance of crossing a road) to the station then a local train into Venice. THe train takes half an hour I think and was about 2 or 3 euros. (You may want to get a taxi to the station but just check the price before you get in.)
