San Paolo Neighborhood

I am looking at an apartment on via Dante di Nanni near via Morretta. Can't find anything on the web on this area. Does anyone have any information that you can share? Thanks.

Hi Amcglynn,

at the beginning of the twentieth century, important factories were located in San Paolo neighborhood, population grew heavily and the following transformations canceled the previous rural look of the area.

From the 60s to the end of the century almost all plants closed or were moved out of the city.

The neighborhood went through an ongoing deep urban and social reshaping.

Near the city centre, it is now a quiet, residential area, with good services and good transports, close to a few contemporary art museums, the museum Carceri Le Nuove (old jails), OGR area (ex trains repair factory)

and to the Politecnico of Turin

The following links present some urban transformations that took place, or are still taking place, in the area:

Hope this was helpful!

It's an Ok area.Nothing spectacular but there are shops,a big open market and the metro station nearby, which is always a big plus.
